Xoloitzcuintli

The Xoloitzcuintli, or Mexican Hairless Dog, is one of the oldest dog breeds, arriving in South America several thousand years ago. They are small, slender and usually hairless; the furred variety is called the Techichi and is an ancestor of today's Chihuahua. Several of the "World's Ugliest Dog" winners have been Mexican Hairless Dogs.
